Marketing Specialist - Nursing Home Administration
Primary Location (onsite): Geneva, AL
Coverage Area (offsite):Geneva, AL and surrounding counties (e.g., Coffee, Dale, Houston, Covington and nearby communities)
Position Type: Full-time (with performance based incentives)
About the Role: Drive resident census and occupancy for the Nursing Home & Rehabilitation Center at Wiregrass Medical Center by building referral relationships, conducting community outreach, and executing targeted marketing initiatives across Geneva and surrounding counties.
Key Responsibilities:
-Develop and execute referral and community marketing strategies to increase admissions and occupancy.
-Build and maintain relationships with hospital discharge planners, case managers, physicians, home health agencies, assisted living communities, hospice providers, social workers and community organizations across Geneva and neighboring counties.
-Conduct regular in-person outreach (visits, presentations, tours), phone/email follow-ups, and virtual meetings with referral partners.
-Plan and host on-site and off-site events (open houses, education sessions, caregiver support groups, health screenings) to generate referrals.
-Create and manage targeted digital and print materials for referral sources, families, and the community (social media, email campaigns, brochures).
-Coordinate with admissions and clinical teams to ensure timely tours, smooth transitions, and positive family experiences.
-Maintain accurate CRM/referral tracking, report metrics (referral volume, conversion rate, occupancy, length of stay, ROI), and adjust tactics based on data.
-Represent Wiregrass Medical Center at community and professional events; travel locally as needed.
Qualifications:
-2+ years healthcare marketing, sales, community outreach, or hospital relations experience (post-acute care preferred).
-Strong relationship-building and consultative sales skills; comfortable with frequent in-person outreach and regional travel.
-Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills.
-Experience with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and basic digital marketing tools.
-Reliable transportation and flexible schedule to attend community events and meetings.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities (KSA):
-Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, public health, or related field.
-Existing relationships with regional hospitals, discharge planners, and post-acute referral sources.
-Familiarity with Medicare/Medicaid and post-acute care workflows.
