Biography:

Dr. Childs graduated from medical school at UAB and completed his residency in Internal Medicine in 1977. Dr. Childs has been practicing family and internal medicine for 41 years. He is certified by the Board of Internal Medicine and the Board of Pulmonology and is a member of the Medical Association of Alabama. He serves as Vice Chief of Staff and is a member of the Finance Committee at Wiregrass Medical Center. Dr. Childs is also the Chairman of the Medical Records Committee and serves as Medical Director for respiratory therapy.
